The reigning Premier League champions unveiled their home kit for the upcoming campaign with a helping hand from a video game star

The first player you'll see in Chelsea's new home kit won't be Eden Hazard or Cesc Fabregas.

The Blues, with a helping hand from EA Sports and FIFA 18, have signed up Alex Hunter to debut their new strip for the 2017-18 season.

Which stadiums are in FIFA 18?

The fictional footballer, who is the star of The Journey in EA Sports' flagship video game franchise, was chosen to model the Premier League side's home look for the upcoming campaign. The all-blue Nike jersey is accompanied by blue shorts and white socks to complete Chelsea's iconic look, which Hunter shows off in celebratory style.

FIFA 18 will be available in September, when footballers digital and real alike will be able to sport the new Chelsea kit.

Antonio Conte's side, fresh from winning the Premier League in his first season in charge, will open their title defense with an August 12 home match against Burnley.
