EA have announced hundreds of players have had their ratings permanently altered - both up and down - in their latest ratings refresh

EA Sports have announced their Winter Ratings Refresh for selected players in the Italian top flight on FIFA 17.

FIFA 17 Ultimate Team of the Week

Hundreds of players will have their ratings permanently updated in FIFA's Ultimate Team as part of the Ratings Refresh campaign, with Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain leading the way in Italy.

The former Napoli hitman has struck 19 goals in 20 starts in Serie A this season, and another three in five outings in the Champions League.

As a result, the Argentine has seen his rating moved from 88 up to 89, while team-mate Paulo Dybala has also seen his overall rating increased by one to 86.

Serie A's joint top scorer Eden Dzeko has jumped to a rating of 81, with the biggest bump coming in the shape of Inter's Roberto Gagliardini, who has rocketed to a rating of 75 from 61.

Going the other way, AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca saw his rating drop from 84 to 83, while former Liverpool and current Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina also saw his worth on the game drop by one to the same number.

"The updated ratings will apply to new base items which are found in packs, however some existing In-Form versions of select players will be automatically updated," a statement on EA's website reads.
