Ferreira is aware of the difficulty his team will face in the AFC Champions League qualifiers.

Jesualdo Ferreira, Al Sadd's manager, admits his team's game against Esteghlal Tehran of Iran will be so difficult.

The two teams are competing for a place in the AFC Champions League group stage, and the game will take place at Azadi Stadium in Tehran on Tuesday.

"The match will be tough and completely different from our domestic matches," said the Portuguese at the press conference.

"I don’t know why it was decided that it will be a one-off match but this is the AFC schedule and we have to respect it. I’m really excited about the match, especially because of the stadium and the huge crowds."

"It will be a hard-fought match against a strong team who have a big reputation and lots of fans in Iran. We at Al-Sadd know this very well and are prepared to give our best. The players are all in high spirits and are looking to win and reach the group stage," added Ferreira.

When he was asked about Xavi, he replied: "Xavi is a big player and I don’t need to talk about him. He always gives his best and serves the team. He is a role model for all the other players."

"We know what is required of us. We will look to play the suitable lineup for the match, which is like a final and could go to extra time. The players are in high spirits and are fully prepared to play in the proper manner."
