According to media reports, Twente will not welcome any offers by Russian club Rostov for South African midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo

FC Rostov are believed to be interested in former Bafana Bafana midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo.

Although, the Dutch transfer window is currently closed, Mokotjo can still sign for Selmashi as the Russian league transfer window will only close on February 28.

The SuperSport United academy graduate has been an integral member of Twente’s first team squad since joining them in 2014.

Twente have however, reportedly downplayed the speculation. They claim that they have not had any contact with Rostov, adding that they are not willing to sell the 25-year-old.

The former Bafana Bafana player still has another year on his current contract with Twente.

Mokotjo, who currently has the Dutch citizenship, previously attracted interest from many European clubs with his exploits, and a move away from The Tukkers could possibly be on the cards in the near future.

If the former PEC Zwolle footballer decides to join the Russian outfit, he would follow in the footsteps of the likes of Matthew Booth and Macbeth Sibaya who plied their trade in Russia before returning to the PSL.

Rostov is also Siyanda Xulu's former club. Xulu left the club at the start of the 2015/16 season after spending eight months on the sidelines.
