Following their draw against the Anambra Warriors, the Flying Antelopes man feels the result will increase their prospect of winning the league

Enugu Rangers secured their fourth away draw of the season in a 0-0 draw at FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Isaac Loute believes the away point was a boost in their quest for the Nigerian league crown.

Having suffered a slip-up in a 0-0 draw with Kwara United, Gbenga Ogunbote's side missed the chance to move into the top-four and were desperate to avoid an Oriental derby loss in Nnewi.

And the Benin international, who led the Flying Antelopes against his former side Anambra Warriors in Nnewi feels the valuable away point they secured was worth celebrating.

"I feel so excited and happy because we came here with a positive result and we got it,' Loute told Goal.

"I want to thank my teammates for making me proud playing against my former team [FC Ifeanyi Ubah]. I played here [Nnewi] for two seasons and the fans supported when I was here.

" I know my former club very well and coming here was nothing special but getting the result we wanted. We want to win the league title this season and are determined to win every game.

"But in the game of football we cannot win all the time and when we get a draw away from home - we need to be happy with what we got here. I think the away draw will boost our title ambition."

Enugu Rangers are seventh with 24 points from 17 games and will host struggling Wikki Tourist in their next tie on Sunday.
