Fans back Sam Nyamweya after ‘FKF ban’

The development comes after FKF banned Sam Nyamweya from football matters for 10 years

Kenya Football Fans Association have thrown their weight behind former Football Kenya Federation President Sam Nyamweya after he was banned by the federation’s new boss Nick Mwendwa.

On March 28, the former boss was served a 10-year ban from all football activities in the country by the new regime and KFFA have done a press release which condemns the decision while terming Nyamweya as the ‘father of football in Kenya.”

The statement, signed by the association’s chairman Dennis Okumu plus nine other members, has challenged the new president to focus on the growth of the county’s football other than tarnishing the name of the former long-serving administrator.

Furthermore, they have suspended Nick Mwendwa from attending any football matches in Kenya failure to which, they will mobilize members to boycott matches organized by FKF.
