Iran outfit Persepolis FC striker Mehdi Taremi has been chosen as the Fans' Asian Player of last week after his scintillating performance in the AFC Champions League encounter against Al Wahda midweek.

The 24-year-old striker took the chances that came his way brilliantly and netted a hattrick as his team won 4-2 against a spirited Al Wahda side and ensured themselves a spot in the knockout stages of Asia's premier club competition.

Also in the fray for the honour were Toyota Player of the Week - Al Hilal's Nicolas Milesi - and Goal's Player of the Week - Al Ain's Omar Abdulrahman. Both of them were instrumental for their clubs as well but it was Taremi who impressed the fans the most.

In what turned out to be a close voting, Taremi bagged 43% of the votes cast, with Nicolas Milesi and Abdulrahman accounting for 34% and 23% respectively.
