Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho has been chosen as the Fans' Asian Player of the Week after his scintillating performance in the AFC Champions League encounter against Eastern SC midweek. 

Paulinho bagged two goals in a dominating performance in midfield that saw his side rout Hong Kong's Eastern SC 6-0 away, surging to the top of Group G as well. Paulinho was selected as Goal's Player of the Week as well. 

Other candidates in the fray were Al Ain's goalkeeper Khalid Eisa, who was selected as Toyota Player of the Week and Lokomotiv Tashkent striker Marat Bikmaev, who bagged a hattrick in his side's 4-4 draw with Al Taawoun. 

Paulinho bagged 58% of the votes cast while Eisa and Bikmaev accounted for 25% and 17% of the total votes respectively.
