The international friendly match is scheduleed to be played at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on November 3 with the match being Tan Cheng Hoe's final preparations before the region's biggest football tournament.

FAM have previously announced five other fixtures which are against Fiji (July 5), Chinese Taipei (September 7), Cambodia (September 10), Sri Lanka (October 12) and Kyrgyzstan (October 16).

Tan will undoubtedly be looking to mould his own team using these six friendlies as he tries to shake up the team following disappointment with the previous regime.

The former Kedah head coach was assistant to Eduardo Vingada who was hired to take Malaysia through 2019 Asian Cup qualifying campaign but the latter's time with Malaysia turned out to be an unbridaled failure.

The Portuguese was released of his duties before the final qualifying match against Lebanon and Tan was appointed to the top job. Tan has so far overseen three matches which includes a fighting 2-1 defeat to Lebanon, a 2-2 draw against Mongolia and a 7-0 thumping of Bhutan.

In the previous Suzuki Cup in 2016, Malaysia then under the guidance of Ong Kim Swee did not make it from the group stage after finishing behind Vietnam and Myanmar. The one and only time that Malaysia have won the competition was way back in the 2010 edition.
