Falcao chip named UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan!

Radamel Falcao’s marvellous chip has been named matchday seven's UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan.

The Monaco striker’s stunning finish came during an eight-goal thriller at the Etihad Stadium, which ultimately saw the Ligue 1 leaders go down 5-3 to Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of what promises to be a exhilarating return leg in the principality.

The Colombian beat out some stiff competition, including Casemiro’s thumping volley for Real Madrid in their 3-1 defeat of Napoli.

That game also saw Lorenzo Insigne earn a nomination for the prize after his ingenious long-range effort completely bamboozled Keylor Navas in the Madrid goal.

Angel Di Maria was also among the contenders following his curled finish from outside the box in PSG’s 4-0 demolition of Barcelona in the French capital.

Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben completed the nominees thanks to another of the Dutchman’s trademark curling strikes, hit during the German champions’ 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal at the Allianz Arena.
