The Bafana Bafana international has moved from Dutch club PEC Zwolle to English Championship outfit Brentford. Many fans are underwhelmed

Kamohelo Mokotjo is one of South Africa's most underrated players, after being sidelined by previous Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba had resulted in the midfielder falling out of the limelight.

Over the last few seasons he has performed better than the more famous Thulani Serero at Ajax Amsterdam. Now with Mashaba replaced by Stuart Baxter as head coach, bigger things are expected of Mokotjo next season.

So, it's a surprise to most football followers that he's agreed to join Brentford instead of waiting for another top flight team.

The latest expectations are that he's hoping to use Brentford as a stepping stone into the English Premier League.

Read what English and South African football fans think about this surprising transfer, as well as a Tweet of support from PSL legend Daine Klate.
