EXTRA TIME: PSL and EPL stars congratulate Newcastle United on promotion

The Toon Army's back in the English Premier League at the first attempt. Congrats to Newcastle!

The Magpies beat Preston 4-1 on Monday night, cementing their promotion in the top flight for next season.

Two well-known PSL players, one from the present and one from the past sent out their best wishes to Newcastle.

That's former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits player, Matthew Pattison.

Pattison's made five appearances for Bafana Bafana and also represented Newcastle United from 2005. Though, he was mostly loaned out to Norwich before moving to the PSL.

The other player is Orlando Pirates' Marc Van Heerden, who hasn't played for Newcastle.
