EXTRA TIME: Leicester City’s Slimani reunites with Essaid Belkalem

After taking different routes to Europe, the Algeria internationals and former club mates showed that their friendship is as strong as ever

Leicester City forward Islam Slimani hooked up with his compatriot Essaid Belkalem in London.

Slimani and former Watford defender Belkalem played together in the Algerian Ligue 1 for CR Belouizdad and JS Kabylie respectively before they both moved to Europe in the summer of 2013.

The attacker has been restricted to limited playing time at the King Power Stadium, making just one start in 10 English Premier League appearances this season.

Despite his struggles at the King Power Stadium, the 29-year-old talisman was thrilled to meet Belkalem - whom he described as a brother - at Harrods department store located in Knightsbridge, London.
