With Eric Tinkler joining SuperSport United, the Cape Town City head coach position is open

Benni McCarthy is one of the options rumoured to takeover City's warm seat, either as head coach or assistant.

Okay, the seat is not as hot as the one in SuperSport United right now, but it could be in future.

So, why is Benni wearing City's colours? It's either a sign that he is that 'gem' Cape Town wants, or he is screaming out, 'Pick me! Pick me John!'

If you don't think McCarthy's experienced enough for a club that is much younger than him, then you can turn your attention to Bafana Bafana's big game against Nigeria on Saturday.

Itu Khune has stated he's ready for the game. He better be, if Bafana's going to stop the home team from scoring!

As for Jeremy Brockie, somebody at United needs to tell him what happened while he was away...
