The former Platinum Stars man is expected to remain at Ikamva for further assessment after impressing in a friendly match

Former AmaZulu and Platinum Stars midfielder Khulekani Madondo is making an impression during his ongoing trial with Ajax Cape Town.

The midfielder was among a host of trialists who started for Ajax in the 2-1 friendly win over Bidvest Wits in Parow on Saturday.

“Madondo did well against Wits, I saw him at training already, but in the game against Wits you could see he has the quality,” Menzo told Goal.

“I think he can still do more and for me, he can stay and try to show us what more he can give.

“Get fitter and used to the way play, I can say that he is one of the few that have made the impression," he concluded.

Madondo is currently amongst a number of free agents currently trying their luck with the Cape side which includes former Mamelodi Sundowns and winger Ejike Uozenyi, a Brazilian centre back and Milano United duo Coldrin Coetzee and Yusuf Japie.
