Former AFC Leopards forward Allan Kateregga has been benched in Uganda Cranes' semi-final match against Zanzibar.

Cranes coach Moses Basena for the second match in a row dropped goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan. Basena opted for Ismail Watenga instead, of experienced Ochan between the sticks as the defending champions take on surprise package Zanzibar.

Uganda starting XI: Ismail Watenga, Bernard Muwanga, Shafiq Bakaki, Nicholas Wadada, Tadeo Lwanga, Allan Kyambande, Milton Kalisa, Derrick Nsibambi, Kaweesa Hood and Mutyaba Muzamir.

Reserved: Benjamin Ochan, Tom Ikara, Daiel Opolot, Joseph Nsubuga, Paul Mucureezi, Sadam Juma, Allan Kateregga, Nelson Sentakuuka, Awany Timothy, Isaac Muleme and Tom Masiko.
