Everton’s Idrissa Gueye thrilled with Wayne Rooney’s return

The Senegal international is eager for the commencement of the new season following the return of the England international in the Goodison Park

Idrissa Gueye has expressed his delight with the successful transfer move of Wayne Rooney from Manchester United to Everton.

The 27-year-old midfielder is thrilled with the arrival of the former Manchester United skipper and he is anxious to play alongside him in the new 2017-18 season.

Rooney completed a two-year deal to the Merseyside outfit on Sunday and becomes the fifth player to join the Toffees this summer following the signings of Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford, Sandro Ramirez and Michael Keane.

Ronald Koeman’s men start off their pre-season friendly games in East Africa with a game against Gor Mahia in Tanzania on July 12.
