Kaizer Chiefs central defender Erick Mathoho has reportedly attracted interest from unnamed clubs in Russia, Belgium as well as Croatia.
The lanky centre back has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in the last few years.
It has since been revealed that the South Africa international has attracted some interest from European clubs.
“He has been one of the most consistent players in the team and he is happy at Chiefs," The Citizen source said.
"But for some time now there has been interest in him with teams from Russia, Belgium and Croatia looking to sign him, but we shall see what happens,” the source concluded.
The towering defender, who is Chiefs' first-choice centre back, has played 13 matches for Amakhosi this season - including 11 league appearances.
Mathoho joined Chiefs four-and-a-half years ago from Bloemfontein Celtic - snubbing Amakhosi's fierce rivals Orlando Pirates in the process.
He has since won the Nedbank Cup, MTN8 Cup and two PSL titles with Chiefs.
