Eskilstuna United sign Ngozi Okobi from Vittsjo

Swedish women side Eskilstuna United have completed the signing of midfielder Ngozi Okobi on a year deal from Vittsjo.

The 24-year-old had joined the Swedish outfit having impressed during her two-season stint at her former side, where she played 42 times, scoring three goals.

Okobi is the latest signing for manager Johan Bennäs who looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season, after finishing third in the Swedish topflight last campaign.

"I look very much forward to coming to Eskilstuna, which is a top club. The team wants to play good football and keep the ball within the team," Okobi told club website.

"My goal is, of course, to be an even better player and to help the team to as good a position as possible in the league. I've also played in Washington Spirit and Damallsvenskan is very classy."

Okobi will be hoping to hit the ground running at the Tunavallen stadium when the 2017-18 season commences. They begin their campaign against Djurgården on April 14.
