Enugu Rangers, Rivers United know Caf Confederation Cup foes on Tuesday

Nigerian representatives will be hoping for a favourable group when the continent's football governing body holds the competition's draw on Tuesday

Enugu Rangers, Rivers United will know their second round phase opponents in their bid for a place in the group stage of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup on Tuesday.

The draw will feature representatives from 32 teams - 16 Caf Champions League losers and 16 Caf Confederation Cup qualified outfits inside the Caf headquarters in Cairo, Egypt to know their opponents in the second round stage of the competition.

The Flying Antelopes and the Pride of Rivers crashed out of the Caf Champions League crumbling 5-3 against Zamalek and 4-3 against Al Merreikh respectively at the second qualifying round stage.

Other teams are RC Kadiogo (Burkina Faso), AC Leopards (Congo), AS Tanda (Cote d’Ivoire), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Mounana (Gabon), Gambia Ports Authority (Gambia), Horoya (Guinea), CNaPS (Madagascar), AS Port Louis (Mauritius), FUS Rabat (Morocco), Barrack Young Controllers (Liberia),  Bidvest (South Africa), Young Africans (Tanzania) and KCCA (Uganda).

Qualified teams in the second tier competition are MC Alger, JS Kabylie (Algeria), Recreativo do Libolo (Angola), ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire), El Masry, Smouha (Egypt), MAS Fes, Ittihad Tangier (Morocco), Rayon Sports (Rwanda), Hilal El Obeid (Sudan), Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland), Platinum Stars, Supersport United (South Africa), Club Africain, CS Sfaxien (Tunisia), Zesco United (Zambia).

The draw will pit the qualified teams from the Caf Confederation Cup round of 16 against the losers from the Caf Champions League round of 16 for a place at the group stage of the continent's second-tier club competition.

The first leg matches will take place on the weekend of April 7-9, 2017 and the return leg on the weekend of April 14-17, 2017.
