The Pharaohs legend has been transfer-listed by his club after reported altercation in training camp.

Essam El-Hadary who became the oldest player in Africa Cup of Nations history when he featured for his country in Gabon recently has been sacked by his Egyptian club.

The 44-year-old goalkeeper has been transfer-listed by Wadi Degla after reported altercation in training camp.

After initially being in the squad to face Al Ahly on Thursday in the league, El-Hadary was kicked out of camp after reportedly slapping teammate and third-choice goalkeeper Khaled Walid.

Wadi Degla coach Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ asked El-Hadary to apologize but when he did not, he was asked to leave the camp before slapping him with a heavy fine.

The club have since transfer-listed the legend as their chairman Magdy Samy posted on Facebook:

“Available to transfer to MLS or Scandinavian teams, Veteran goalkeeper, 44 years old, and able to play for 2 more years at top level.”
