Erick “Cubo” Torres’ strong season will come to a temporary halt as he misses the Houston Dynamo’s clash with Orlando City SC with a concussion.
The Dynamo announced prior to the contest the forward did not dress for the game in Houston after reporting concussion symptoms following the Dynamo’s loss in Toronto. He entered the league concussion protocol and was not cleared Friday, leaving him ineligible for Saturday’s match.

Mauro Manotas took Torres' place as the central attacker in coach Wilmer Cabrera's 4-3-3 set up.
After not scoring a goal in two seasons with Houston, Torres rediscovered his game under coach Cabrera and has netted seven times in the Dynamo’s first eight games of the season – good for the Major League Soccer lead. His career high is 15 goals, scored with Chivas USA in 2014.
