Ghana striker Rafael Dwamena is delighted to have found the back of the net twice after making his debut in a 5-0 victory over Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday.
The 22-year-old, who plays club football for FC Zurich, scored twice in second half after Asamoah Gyan, John Boyes and Ebenezer Peoria had given the Black Stars a 3-0 lead.
''I' m glad that I scored two goals in the game against Ethiopia. As a striker, I am looking forward to score more goals whenever I am given the chance to feature for the country,'' Dwamena told Sportsworldghana.com.
"It was my first time playing at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and I must tell you that the support was amazing. The fans have really shown us real love and we are grateful with their actions,'' he added.
Aside Dwamena,1860 Munich left-back Agbenyenu Lumor Suleyman and Turkey-based Thomas Agyapong made their debuts for Ghana while Aduana Stars goalkeeper Joseph Addo made it to the substitute bench for the first time.
The team is expected to travel to the United States of America in a fortnight to play Mexico and USA in friendly matches.
