Borussia Dortmund have dismissed rumours of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaving Signal Iduna Park for China.
Reports claimed the Gabon international is set to join Tianjin Quanjian for a €70million move in January.
However, club’s sporting director Michael Zorc has denied the speculation and took a swipe at groundless reports.
"That's completely unfounded. It's only misleading for the fans,'' Zorc told Kickers.
"There are no talks. There are no negotiations, and there's not even indication of it. It puzzles me."
Aubameyang was Bundesliga's top scorer last season with 31 goals, one more than Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
