The 19-year-old registered his name on the scoresheet as the Blue-Black went past the Essevee in a Belgian topflight outing

Denis Bonaventure was on target as Club Brugge recorded a slim 2-1 victory over Zulte Waregem in Friday’s Belgian First Division A clash.

The Nigerian opened the scoring in the 22nd minutes shortly after receiving a yellow card in an encounter that saw three other players cautioned.

The attacker sent goalkeeper Louis Bostyn to the wrong side of the net after receiving a pass from Anthony Limbombe to take his tally to four in the Belgian elite.

Jelle Vossen increased the margin in the 48th minutes when he scored from the spot.

A 53rd minutes’ strike from Aaron Leya Iseka could do little to harm Ivan Leko’s men as they silenced their hosts in the challenge.

With the triumph, Club Brugge are occupying the first spot with nine points from three games.
