The defender has decided to join the Ligue 1 club instead of Pep Guardiola's side, but is ready to accept whatever criticism is aimed at him

Brazilian defender Dani Alves posted a revealing message on Instagram, admitting that he is 'prepared to face without fear the consequences of decisions'.

The 34-year-old was initially set to join Manchester City from Juventus, but a last-minute decision has seen him turn his back on Pep Guardiola and choose PSG instead.

Alves to join PSG

Alves had agreed terms with City after being released by the Serie A champions, but has now decided to move to Paris to join the Ligue 1 giants.

Following the U-turn, Alves shared a photo on his social media account, seemingly indicating how he feels about rejecting City for PSG.

The caption read: "Humans are challenged. Prepare to face without fear the consequences of your decisions, they will come filled with difficulties, but your confidence and your daily hard work will support you. I am prepared for life since I was a boy, in my heart I have love and passion, in my soul an insatiable thirst to be a champion!"

PSG are due to hold a press conference on Wednesday when they will officially announce the signature of Alves.
