The Blues boss won't stand in the way of England's Under-21 striker, who wishes to leave the club to make more first team appearances

Antonio Conte has confirmed that Dominic Solanke wants to leave Chelsea.

Wenger: There will be no retirement

The youngster has been linked with a move to Liverpool, with his current contract expiring in the summer and an impasse hit over a new deal.

Solanke has only made one apperance for the top team but was highly regarded as a product of the club's academy. Nevertheless, the Blues have failed to agree personal terms with the 19-year-old attacker.

It is still unconfirmed whether Liverpool will make an offer in the summer, but Conte has admitted that the teenager is ready to leave Stamford Bridge.

"I think [he will leave], I am not sure, but I think this is his will," Conte said at a news conference at Cobham Training Centre. “It is best to ask him why. For me, it is very difficult to answer this question because I have only been working with Chelsea for seven months.

"I think for a young player to play in a great team like Chelsea is a great opportunity. I have spoken with him to try to understand his decision. It is normal. We must have a great respect for every decision.

"His contract expires in June and he has the choice to stay with Chelsea or to go away. I wish him and his family the best.”
