Cioaba: Sure Boy will be a key figure in our squad

'Sure Boy' has only played nine games for Azam this season

Following a poor spell at Azam this season, Abubakar Salum “Sure Boy” will be a key figure next season, according to Head Coach Aristica Cioaba.

'Sure Boy' has been linked with a move away from Azam Complex after failing to establish himself as a first team regular under the Romanian coach.

Speaking to Goal, Cioaba said that 'Sure Boy' is a very good player and he will start to deliver next season because he has the potential to become a key figure in the squad.

“Every one knows that Sure Boy is a good midfielder, but the season hasn't gone well for him because of injuries. He missed match fitness because of many problems outside the pitch. But I think next season he will be back to his level,” said Cioaba.

Sure Boy has only played nine games this season and he was at the center of a fierce discussion after being sent off when Azam played host to Yanga in January.
