The Chinese Super League side are believed to be ready to spend big on the 25-year-old, although Scunthorpe have reportedly rejected the offer and want £8 million.

However, Van Veen is believed to be keen on becoming the latest player to move to the Far East and has been quoted as saying he would relish a move

“It's true. This is unbelievable, a once in a lifetime opportunity," the forward is quoted by Fox Sport. "I can earn so much, then I will never have to work again. It's truly a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Scunthorpe are currently top of League One, a point clear of Sheffield United with a game in hand, and hoping to gain automatic promotion to the Championship.

Van Veen has managed eight goals and four assists in the league this season although he is some way behind team-mate, and League One topscorer, Josh Morris on 18 goals and nine assists.
