Chinedu Obasi netted to help AIK secure a narrow 2-1 victory over IFK Goteborg in an Allsvenskan encounter at the Friends Arena on Monday.
Stefan Ishizaki had put Obasi through and the Nigerian forward wasted no chance to score in the eighth minute before Rasmus Lindkvist doubled the hosts lead at almost half time.
In the 72nd minute, Vajeba Sakor pulled one back for Alf Westerberg's men thanks to Tobias Hysen's assist before Obasi was replaced by Nicolas Stefanelli five minute later.
The goal ends the 31-year-old's two months goal drought since he scored in his side a 1-1 draw against Djurgården in August and his fourth goal in eight appearances for Rikard Norling's men.
The win keeps the Gnagets in the second with 54 points - 10 behind leaders Malmo and will visit Orebro in their last league encounter as they bid to seal a ticket for 2018 Uefa Europa League.
