Chidozie Awaziem scored his first Ligue 1 goal in Nantes 2-1 win over Guingamp on Saturday.

The 20-year-old’s first half goal ensured the Canaries continue their brilliant run in the French top-flight with six wins from 10 games.

Awaziem connected well to a Leo Dubois’s corner nine minutes after the kick-off, and powerfully headed the ball past Karl Johnsson.

The defender’s goal was the only difference before the interval as Guingamp struggled to get an equalizer.

After the restart, Antoine Kombouare's men kept pushing for a leveler which later came when Guinea’s Abdoul Camara found the back of the net in the 70th minute.

With less than four minutes remaining, Abdoulaye Toure stole the show with the match winning goal for Claudio Ranieri’s men.

Nantes move to the third spot in the Ligue 1 log with 20 points from 10 games and will visit Dijon for their next league outing.
