Chelsea Team News: Injuries, suspensions & line-up vs West Brom

Everything you need to know ahead of Friday's Premier League fixture, with Antonio Conte's Blues closing in on the title

Chelsea can make history at the Hawthorns on Friday evening as a win over West Bromwich Albion would officially secure the club's sixth league title.

Antonio Conte's side have been battling Tottenham for Premier League glory, but defeat to West Ham last Friday has opened up a chance for Chelsea to claim the trophy with games to spare.

A trip to West Brom is never easy, but the Baggies have struggled in recent weeks and Chelsea will be looking to take full advantage of their recent spell of bad form.

CHELSEA INJURIES

N'Golo Kante is Chelsea's primary concern ahead of their last away game of the season after he missed the Blues' 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough with a thigh injury.

Cesc Fabregas came in and put in a star performance in his place, but Kante's return might be welcomed against Tony Pulis' physical side. Thibaut Courtois is playing through an ankle injury that he sustained on an NBA photoshoot.

Carvalho: Chelsea players are special

David Luiz was substituted against Everton with a groin injury, but played in the last match at Stamford Bridge on Monday. However, he was substituted for John Terry in the second half.

Chelsea have no other injuries. Conte gave a positive update at a press conference at Stamford Bridge ahead of the match: "All the players are available for the game."

CHELSEA SUSPENSIONS

Chelsea have no players suspended for the match and have had few issues with discipline all season. John Terry has been their only player to be sent off, in the FA Cup against Peterborough United.

The cut-off point for accumulations of 10 yellow cards passed two weeks ago and the Blues avoided seeing any of their players pick up bans.

CHELSEA POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Antonio Conte will likely play his full strength team if all of his players are available, in his last away game of the season and with the title so close.

Chelsea to profit from Juve's success

Chelsea surprised Tottenham in the FA Cup by resting Eden Hazard and Diego Costa for Michy Batshuayi and Willian, but Conte typically doesn't like to rotate his squad.

Should Kante fail to make it for the Middlesbrough clash, then Fabregas is likely to continue in his place. Conte has used the same core of 14 players all season and any changes for Friday's game will be enforced rather than tactical.

WEST BROM TEAM NEWS

Jonny Evans was substituted for Allan Nyom in the 50th minute of West Brom's 2-2 draw versus Burnley at Turf Moor. The former Manchester United defender has become a key player for West Brom since his move from Old Trafford and he is hoping that his ankle injury won't keep him out of Chelsea's visit.

Hal Robson-Kanu and Matt Phillips have both missed their side's last two games with hamstring problems, but have an outside chance of returning on Friday. Tony Pulis' squad have no further injuries as Chelsea aim to secure the title at the Hawthorns.
