Chan 2018: Caf delegation in country for inspection

With almost seven months before the competition begins, the delegation has arrived to check on Kenya's readiness

A high level of Caf delegation led by 2nd Vice-President Omari Selemani is in the country for a second inspection visit, in preparation for 2018 Chan tournament, scheduled to be held in Kenya.

With almost seven months before the competition begins, the delegation has arrived to check on the readiness of the country to host the competition. First on the list is Kipchoge Stadium, based in Eldoret which is set to be inspected on Monday. On Tuesday to Friday, the delegation will visit Jomo Kenyatta, Kinoru, Kasarani and Nyayo stadia respectively before giving a press briefing on Saturday.

Rwanda was the last country to host the competition; with Kenya on the verge of hosting it for the first time since inception. The Football Kenya Federation has always insisted that they are ready to host the competition for local-based players.
