Celta Vigo v Real Madrid Betting Special: Back Captain Fantastic Ramos to soar again

For Celta Vigo, there is little but pride at stake in their final home game of the season this Wednesday, while for Real Madrid the La Liga title is on the line.

Los Blancos must avoid defeat in order to have things in their own hands heading into the final match of the campaign on Sunday, and Madrid's away form has been strong. Celta meanwhile have lost their last five league games having prioritised the Europa League, with their most recent defeat coming on Sunday at Alaves.

That weekend reversal did see Iago Aspas get on the scoresheet and the former Liverpool striker remains the top scoring Spaniard in the Primera Liga with 18 strikes in what has been his most prolific season.

bet365, who are live streaming the game for UK-based customers, offer Aspas at 8/5 (2.60) to strike anytime and an even healthier looking 8/1 (9.00) to score first and that could be tempting, given that only Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi have broken the deadlock more times in La Liga this term than Aspas.

Indeed, Celta's number ten remains their biggest goal threat with Aspas scoring 36 per cent of the side's goals this season, the highest percentage of team goals of any player in the division.

Elsewhere for Celta, big Swedish striker John Guidetti is priced at 13/5 (3.60) to score at anytime while young midfielder Daniel Wass, who scored against Madrid in the Copa del Rey earlier this season, is offered at 3/1 (4.00) to add to his total of seven goals in all competitions this term.

Madrid, for their part, hit the 100-goal mark for the eighth successive season at the weekend, and Zinedine Zidane's men have been in excellent scoring form on the road of late. Cristiano Ronaldo has been rested for most of their recent away matches, yet the Portuguese forward could well feature at the Estadio Balaidos given the importance of the game and he is offered at just 1/3 (1.33) to score.

Also likely to start in Vigo for the visitors is Isco and the 25-year-old is enjoying his most prolific season with 10 league strikes. He is offered at 11/10 (2.10) to find the back of the net while Alvaro Morata who has scored in each of Madrid's last four away league games is priced at 4/9 (1.44)

Defensively, Celta have been poor this season and Eduardo Berizzo's men have conceded the fifth highest number of goals at home in the division. The Galicians are particularly weak in the air, with 31 per cent of their home goals conceded from set pieces and that could be punished by Real Madrid, who have scored more headed goals than any side in the Spanish top flight.

Real Madrid's captain Sergio Ramos is also enjoying his most prolific season and is a player with an eye for the dramatic. Ramos is priced at 3/1 (4.00) to net at Balaidos and that looks like a tempting option for a value bet.
