Cardoso doesn’t see Kaizer Chiefs losing a game this year

The Amakhosi hasn't lost a game this year, and they intend to keep it that way until the season comes to a halt

Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso believes they have what it takes to go all the way and end their term without losing a game, as they now fully understand the tactics of Steve Komphela.

Their last defeat came in November when they went down 3-1 away to Chippa United in Port Elizabeth in the Premiership.

“I think now that Steve has been here for a year and a half, the boys are starting to pick up on his ways and methods. That has helped a lot.

“This year we haven’t lost a game yet and I don’t see us losing a game,” Cardoso told Vodacom Soccer.

“With a new coach and new players, it’s always hard to fight the right combinations and the right style of play,” Cardoso added.

As it stands, the Amakhosi are amongst the title contenders lying in fourth place and are in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup where they will visit ABC Motsepe League side Acornbush United in Nelspruit.

Their latest encounter will see them travel all the way to Polokwane on Saturday to take on Baroka at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, fresh from a 3-0 triumph over Stellenbosch United in the Nedbank Cup first round last Saturday.

“We are coming from a good win against Stellenbosch in the Nedbank Cup. Everyone is happy in the camp. It’s going well. Hopefully we carry on with our winning streak,” Cardoso said.
