Gor Mahia boasts of a better record against Ingwe in the Super Cup with four titles

AFC Leopards are the best side when it comes to head-to-head record against rivals, Gor Mahia.

Ingwe boasts of 32 wins in 95 meetings with arch-rivals K'Ogalo, though the two teams' trophy cabinet says a completely different story.

Kenya's fiercest rivals will lock horns for a record 96 times on Sunday, this time in a Super Cup clash at Afraha Stadium.

Surprisingly, of the previous 95 meetings, AFC Leopards have won 32 times to Gor Mahia’s 30 wins with 33 of those meetings ending in a draw.

But Gor Mahia have scored 87 goals against AFC Leopards who have found the back of the net 83 times in the last 95 ‘Mashemeji Derbies’.

Gor Mahia, also boasts of a better record against Ingwe in the Super Cup.

Even though both sides have met just once before today, K’Ogalo have won four of their last eight Super Cup titles.

AFC Leopards, on the other hand, are still hoping for their maiden appearance at the top podium in this competition.

Gor Mahia are chasing for a record fifth title, having laid their hands this title in 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2017.

The only other times they have missed a top podium finish was in 2012 and 2013 when they lost to Tusker and 2015 lose to Bandari.

Other than 2010 when Sofapaka played AFC Leopards, the other Super Cup final where Gor Mahia were not involved was in 2011 where Sofapaka beat Ulinzi Stars by a solitary goal.
