Caf Confederation Cup draw: Akwa United vs Banjul Hawks, Asante Kotoko vs CARA Brazzaville & Preliminary Round in full

The draw took place in Egypt and has thrown up some interesting ties, with some of Africa's top teams drawn bye till the First round

Akwa United have been paired with Banjul Hawks, while CARA Brazzaville face a daunting trip to Asante Kotoko in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The draw, which took place immediately after its Champions League counterpart in Egypt on Wednesday, also sees APR take on Seychelles topflight side Anse Réunion, while Al-Masry take on Green Buffaloes.

Africa Sports have been drawn against FC Nouadhibou and RS Berkane take on Mbour Petite-Côte, while Benni McCarthy's Cape Town City must travel to Swaziland where they will play Young Buffaloes.

The games are scheduled to take place in February 2018, with the first leg coming between February 9-11 and the second leg set for a week later.

SuperSport United, Enyimba, USM Alger, Al-Hilal Al-Ubayyid, Motema Pembe, Al-Ahly Shendi, Nkana, Club Africain, Raja Casablanca and Zamalek have been drawn bye till the First round.
