BREAKING: Dalic steps down as Al Ain coach

Following a series of unsatisfactory results for Al Ain, Zlatko Dalic becomes the 10th coach to leave his position this season in UAE's top flight

Zlatko Dalic, announced today his resignation from his position as Al Ain’s head coach, after the 3-1 loss in the postponed match against Al Jazira in Arabian Gulf League.

Zlatko told the press after the match: “It’s time for me to leave. I would like to thank everyone for everything, I spoke with the administration about my wish to leave, and I don’t want to pose problems to anybody.”

Al Ain fans had demanded the sacking of the Croatian coach after a series of disappointments in all competitions, after having lost the AFC Champions League final to Jeonbuk Motors leaving the Arabian Gulf Cup and the President’s Cup, and sitting 3rd in Arabian Gulf League standings with 31 points.
