Pep Guardiola's side were held at home by the Toffees, but our tipster is backing the visitors to return to winning ways at Vitality Stadium

Manchester City came from behind to salvage a point from their Premier League fixture against Everton at Etihad Stadium on Monday night.

Wayne Rooney's opener for the Toffees aligned with a red card for City's Kyle Walker before the break had left Pep Guardiola's men with a mountain to climb, but Raheem Sterling's strike with eight minutes remaining ensured that the men from Manchester took something from the game.

City, who opened their Premier League campaign with victory against Brighton and Hove Albion on the south coast, will be determined to return to winning ways this weekend and Genting make the men from Manchester their 1/3 (1.34) favourites to come out on top when they travel to take on AFC Bournemouth.

It has been a difficult start to the campaign for the Cherries, for they have been beaten in both of their Premier League fixtures so far this season - indeed, Eddie Howe's men are still searching for their first league goal of the season.

Bournemouth, though, will take confidence from their 2-1 win against Birmingham City in the League Cup on Tuesday night, especially given that they came from a goal down to beat the Blues.

There is 15/2 (8.50) that Bournemouth build on that result and claim a famous victory against Guardiola's charges at Vitality Stadium and 9/2 (5.50) that the two teams settle for a share of the spoils in Saturday's early kick-off from the top tier.

Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson, could well find himself in the spotlight this weekend after the former Benfica 'keeper was blamed in some quarters for Rooney's goal on Monday night. 12/5 (3.40) is available that Bournemouth bag the opening goal of this game, with 11/10 (2.10) that Ederson responds by keeping a clean sheet against the Cherries.

While Guardiola will want a solid defensive display from his side against Howe's men, it is in attack that Manchester City are at the peak of their powers. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has an embarrassment of riches to choose from in the final third of the pitch and the visitors can be backed at just 8/11 (1.73) to win a match featuring at least three goals.

Despite that wealth of attacking talent, Manchester City have managed just three goals in their opening two Premier League games - with all three strikes coming in the second half. There is 17/10 (2.70) that this match remains level at the interval and 100/30 (4.33) that Guardiola's team win a match that is level at half time.

Given Bournemouth's blunt attack so far this season, the 11/10 (2.10) for Manchester City to keep a clean sheet looks to be a solid selection, while the 4/5 (1.80) quote for the visitors to win by at least two clear goals may well prove popular with punters.

Better value, however, may lie in backing Manchester City to win without conceding at 5/4 (2.25) ahead of Saturday's showdown.
