The Ghanaian gives his opinion on the Eagles objective of playing in Europe next year

Eintracht Frankfurt star Kevin-Prince Boateng says his club must put in the work to be able make a Europa League qualification spot this season.

The Eagles, who finished 11th last term, are looking to achieve a top-seven spot this campaign, following a relatively good fortunes in the Bundesliga’s first round.

After matchday 14, Niko Kovac's side sit eighth on the table, tied on points with seventh-placed Augsburg, who currently occupy the last Europa League qualification position.

"I'm happy when players have ambitions and they say that [Europa League qualification] openly," Boateng said, as reported by Ghanasoccernet.

"But we know very well that you cannot get anywhere with a lot of talk, but the guys are in a good mood and also want to work.

"Obviously we're looking up, it's nice to be there, but we know it's very tight and can go down very fast."

Frankfurt, who won the Europa League - then Uefa Cup - in 1980, are seeking to make another big statement at continental level.
