After pausing for the international break, the Premier League returns this weekend. There is still plenty to play for at both ends of the table and, as always, the top scorer market is fiercely competitive - it is, too, a market that offers plenty of value for punters.
Romelu Lukaku is having a memorable campaign for Everton; the 23-year-old has already become the Toffees' all-time Premier League scorer after surpassing Duncan Ferguson's total earlier in the season. Lukaku is also aiming to become the first Everton player in the Premier League era to be the top flight's leading marksman.
There has, of course, been frenzied speculation about the Belgian's future but that has not distracted the striker - he has bagged 21 Premier League goals so far this season and he is chalked up as Paddy Power's Evens (2.00) favourite to be the top scorer this term.
Harry Kane, just two goals behind Lukaku, had enjoyed a sensational start to 2017, scoring 11 league goals for Spurs since the turn of the year, but the 23-year-old's charge has been curtailed by injury.
Kane, the top scorer last term, is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines and the 8/1 (9.00) quote for the England striker to become the first winner of the award in two successive seasons since Thierry Henry is reflective of the challenge that Kane faces.
Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez has scored 18 goals so far this season and the Chilean will surely add to that total as the Gunners scrap for a place in the top four, while Diego Costa - one further back - is an interesting contender in the market as Chelsea push for the Premier League title.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made a huge impact at Manchester United since joining the club in the summer - including scoring the winning goal in the EFL Cup final last month; the 35-year-old Swede has scored 15 league goals and would love to claim the crown as the Premier League's leading scorer.
As a result, Paddy Power offer 25/1 (26.0) that Ibrahimovic achieves that objective.
Dele Alli is enjoying a productive campaign, having scored 14 goals for Spurs in the league so far this season and the England midfielder is a 25/1 (26.0) shot to be the top flight's leading marksman.
Jermain Defoe, who scored at Wembley in his first appearance for England for four years last weekend, is a 45/1 (46.0) shot; Defoe's tally of 14 goals is hugely impressive in a struggling Sunderland side and the veteran striker could help the Black Cats beat the drop with a strong finish to the campaign.
The in-form Lukaku is a deserving front runner in this market, but with Chelsea closing in on the title, Costa could offer decent value as an alternative for punters.
