Barcelona v Juventus Betting: Doubts exist over Catalans' comeback ability

The Catalans face another seemingly impossible task in the Champions League, but we are backing them to win another high-scoring game at the Camp Nou

After their historic comeback in the previous round at the Camp Nou against Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona will know that nothing is impossible although they face another monumental challenge to progress in the Champions League.

Luis Enrique's men trail an excellent Juventus side 3-0 after last week's first leg, and while they will believe they can score four times at home against anyone, keeping a clean sheet is currently proving challenging for the Catalans.

Barca will be boosted by the return of Sergio Busquets who missed the first leg, yet his return does not change the fact that they have conceded in 11 of their last 13 matches in all competitions, and have let in at least two goals in each of their last three matches.

If Juve can get themselves on the scoresheet then the Blaugrana will need at least five goals and Paddy Power offer Barcelona at 9/2 (5.50) to qualify for the next round.

Juventus, meanwhile, can be backed at just 1/7 (1.14) to make the semi finals, with the Italian champions offered at 11/2 (6.50) to win in 90 minutes on Wednesday evening and Barca available at 1/2 (1.50).

Logic dictates that while Barca are likely to record a victory, it is unlikely to be by the margin necessary to secure passage to the last four. Our selection in Turin last week saw us double our investment by backing Juve to be ahead at half time or full time and an unlikley repeat is offered at 3/1 (4.00).

Having only failed to score in two games all season, Juve will feel they can net in Catalonia and the Serie A leaders can be backed at 4/9 (1.44) to score at least once.

More appealing, though, is the price of 10/11 (1.91) for Barca to win and over 2.5 goals in the game, a selection which has paid out with great consistency at the Camp Nou this season. Indeed, this has proved the winning bet in 14 of Barca's last 15 home matches in all competitions and it seems like a solid selection for the second leg of their Champions League quarter final.
