Burnley v Sunderland Betting: Clarets can take another scalp on home soil

Sean Dyche's side have been brilliant form at Turf Moor in the Premier League this season but can they pick up another victory in the FA Cup?

After playing out a goalless draw in the original tie at the Stadium of Light, Burnley and Sunderland will go head-to-head for a place in the FA Cup fourth round once again when they meet at Turf Moor for Tuesday's replay.

Having recorded a fourth consecutive home win by beating Southampton 1-0 at the weekend, the Clarets are now even odds (2.00) favourites to progress by coming out on top in front of their own fans once more.

Meanwhile, David Moyes' men have won just one of their last eight games after falling to a 3-1 home defeat against Stoke City on Saturday, but can be backed at at 14/5 (3.80) to return to winning ways here.

None of the host's last nine home games have resulted in a draw, but you can get odds of 5/2 (3.50) on this one going into extra-time after a deadlocked 90 minutes.

Having put out the strongest starting line-up at his disposal, Moyes will have been extremely disappointed to see his team fail to secure a victory against a weakened visiting team at the Stadium of Light.

The Scot will now have his work cut out to make it through to the next round when he takes his team to Turf Moor, where Sean Dyche's side have won more home games than any Premier League teams except Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur this term.

With eight wins and just two defeats to their name in the last 11 matches in their own back yard, the home team must feel rightly confident of emerging victorious against an away side that has lost nine of 11 fixtures on the road against top flight opposition - including a 4-1 defeat on this very ground earlier in the season.

All things considered, those even odds (2.00) are not to be missed on Burnley consigning Sunderland to a fifth consecutive away defeat by securing their fifth win in a row on home turf.
