Man City look to hog possession against dangerous Arsenal side

Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, have improved not only as an attacking force but also in terms of their fluidity, movement and passing. Their latest excellent performance saw them win 4-2 away at Napoli in the Champions League. None of the previous four English visitors to Napoli were able to do that. Back to domestic business, City are flying high in the Premier League, having only dropped two points in ten matches. Their passing accuracy has increased from 85% to 89% since last season, and their possession stats have leapt from 60% to 66% in the same period.

Much has been said about City’s extremely impressive start to the season but Arsenal’s visit should serve as a serious test of the title credentials of the blue side from Manchester.

If the collective attacking talents of Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Agüero, Leroy Sané, Alexis Sánchez, Mesut Özil and Alexandre Lacazette fire, there should be some serious Super Sunday fireworks on display.

City are still without their captain Vincent Kompany and left back Benjamin Mendy. Santi Cazorla is a long-term absentee for visitors Arsenal, with an achilles problem.
