The North Londoners have had a smooth run Europe’s second tier and will look to seal qualification to the next round in their trip to Germany

FC Cologne host Arsenal at the RheinEnergieStadion for their Group H Uefa Europa League clash on Thursday night.

It’s been a struggle for the Billy Goats thus far. They occupy the bottom spot in the Bundesliga with just two points from 12 games. They are also last in Group H with three points. Though they did triumph 5-2 over BATE Borisov last time out, they are quoted at (2.62) with Bet365 for another rare win.

The Gunners will be buoyed by their 2-0 derby win over fierce North London rivals Tottenham at the weekend. They are top of their group with 10 points from four games and victory in North Rhine-Westphalia at odds of (2.62) with the same betting firm would be enough to see them through to the knockout phase.

Arsene Wenger’s men were held to a goalless draw by Red Star Belgrade in their last Europa League outing and another stalemate is available at odds of (3.25).

Arsenal have lost their last three away games to German opposition though this came against big sides in the Champions League. The North Londoners remain unbeaten in Europe’s second tier tourney and considering Cologne’s struggles, they are (1.50) to avoid defeat.

Victory at the RheinEnergieStadion would see Arsenal become the first English side to win away at five different German oppositions, having previously won at Weder Bremen, Hamburg, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Winning either half is priced at (1.80).
