It’s been a close contest between these two in recent times and looks poised to be that way this coming weekend

Rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will tackle each other at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday evening.

Los Rojiblancos have not had the best of starts to the campaign due to inconsistency in results. This has left them in fourth place, seven points behind leaders Barcelona. Atleti have gotten victories against their rivals in recent times and won’t be afraid to do it again at odds of (3.20) with Bet365.

Los Blancos have equally not had enough good results and have the same number of points as their neighbours but are just one place ahead of them with a slightly better goal difference.  They secured a 3-0 win over Las Palmas last time out and are (2.25) for another one.

Draws are usually not far between in this fixture and the same firm is offering (3.40) for that to happen in the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid have won more games against Atletico Madrid than any other team in La Liga history. Most of their victories on the road have also come against them. They are thus (1.33) to avoid defeat at the Metropolitano.

Atletico have only lost one of their last eight Madrid derbies (four wins, three draws) and are quoted at odds of (1.66) for a win or draw on their turf.

Scoring goals with headers has been a feature of this game in recent times with a majority coming from corners. Backing more than eight corners is available at odds of (1.36).

All but two of Atleti’s league games this term have produced less than three goals. Judging but the fact that eight of the last 14 Madrid Derbies have gone this way, it won’t be out of context to see it surface on Saturday evening at odds of (1.33).

Antoine Griezmann – who has been linked with a move away from the Metropolitano has not found the back of the net in seven consecutive games in all competitions. It is his longest barren run for Diego Simeone’s side but is tipped to break the jinx anytime at odds of (2.37) with Bet365.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored only once in the league this term and is offered at (1.95) to increase his tally by netting anytime.
