Bet365 Preview: Arsenal – Brighton & Hove Albion: Back Wenger’s men to score first

Comments
Buoyed by their form this week, the Gunners will be confident of another good outing when they tackle the Seagulls

Arsenal take on Brighton and Hove Albion in Sunday’s Premier League lunchtime kickoff.

It’s been a fruitful week for the Gunners who beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on Monday night and then travelled to Belarus to thump BATE Borisov 4-2 in the Europa League. Such confidence boost makes them favourites to win here at (1.25) with Bet365.

Chris Hughton’s side are gradually coming to grips with life in the English top flight. A 1-0 win over Newcastle United last weekend was their second win of the campaign. While that result gave Seagull fans a lot to cheer, their trip to North London tags them as the underdogs at (14.00).

The first Premier League meeting between both sides ending in a stalemate is quoted at odds of (6.50) with the same firm.

Arsenal have won three of their last four matches against Brighton, which have come in the FA Cup. Even though this is a league meeting, Arsene Wenger’s charges still remain odds on at (1.05) to avoid losing.

The Seagulls have never won away at Arsenal in six attempts and have only scored once. They haven’t been in the best shape defensively and this could play into their opponent’s hands to score the game’s opening goal at (1.16) and more than two goals being scored at same odds of (1.16).

Punters who are looking to take a big risk can back both teams to score at a juicy price of (2.10).

The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 31 Premier League games against newly promoted sides, collecting 83 points from a possible 93. With this in mind, they are tipped to win either half at (1.12) with Bet365.

Theo Walcott got into the act against BATE by scoring a brace. He also found the back of the net in Arsenal’s last two meetings with Brighton in the FA Cup back in January 2013 and 2015. He is tipped to score anytime at (2.20).
