Bechem coach Annese upbeat ahead of Caf CC return leg

The Hunters coach is optimistic his charges will qualify to the next stage of the competition despite holding a slim advantage into the second leg

Bechem United coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese is confident his side will be able to overcome MC Algers in the Caf Confederations Cup preliminary stage second leg fixture next weekend in Algiers.

The Hunters pipped their opponents 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday thanks to goals from Amed 'Simba' Toure and substitute Kweku Osei Bonsu but must avoid a two-goal margin defeat to progress.

''Nothing is impossible in football. We just have to go and play well in Algeria, I must admit it is not going to be easy but we have a big chance,'' Annese said.

''They came here and almost got a draw but we were able to win. The most important thing is that we won here in Ghana and have an advantage over them. We can also get a good score line there in Algeria in the return game. All that we need to do is to prepare very well in all aspects before the game and we will be able to shock them at their backyard on Sunday,'' he added.

The winner between Bechem and Alger will play the winner between Akanda FC from Gabon and DR Congo's Renaissance du Congo in the first round next month.

Goal understands that Bechem's contingent will depart Ghana on Thursday for Algeria.
