Bayern Munich v Liverpool Betting: Attack-minded giants to continue goalscoring ways

Our tipster thinks that the goals will flow when the German champions take on Jurgen Klopp's free-scoring Reds in the Audi Cup on Tuesday

Liverpool were in fine form at the weekend as Jurgen Klopp’s charges cruised to a 3-0 victory against Hertha Berlin in the German capital and the Reds continue their pre-season preparations with a testing trip to face Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich when the teams meet in the Audi Cup on Tuesday night.

Despite a string of bitterly disappointing performances at the International Champions Cup, during which Bayern won just one of their four fixtures, the German champions are chalked up as bet365’s 4/7 (1.57) favourites to come out on top in this match, with 16/5 (4.20) that the game remains deadlocked at the end of 90 minutes.

Liverpool, by contrast, have won all but one of their four pre-season matches so far this summer and Klopp’s men, who face a crucial Champions League qualification tie later this month, can be backed at 17/4 (5.25) to maintain momentum in Bavaria.

The Reds were rampant in Berlin, looking very dangerous in the final third of the pitch and the men from Merseyside will be fancy their chances of continuing their scoring streak against Bayern, for Ancelotti’s team have conceded nine goals in their last four friendly fixtures.

Liverpool can be backed at 2/1 (3.0) to score more than one goal against the German champions with 15/8 (2.88) that the Premier League outfit open the scoring during Tuesday’s tussle.

Despite their problems this summer, Bayern boast plenty of players capable of hurting the opposition – as they ably demonstrated when scoring three times inside the opening 30 minutes of a 3-2 win against Chelsea in the International Champions Cup last month.

As such, this fixture will represent a serious test of the Reds’ resolve and the offer is just 8/15 (1.53) that Bayern bag more than a single goal against Klopp’s team.

Both teams are at their best in attack and, with neither side entirely convincing at the back, there is plenty of potential for the goals to flow when these rivals lock horns. bet365 go just 8/13 (1.62) that there are goals at both ends and 8/15 (1.53) that there are three or more goals scored when these teams meet in Munich.

Better value, however, could lie in the 5/4 (2.25) for at least four goals to be scored at Allianz Arena and, as such, it is this price that may offer best value for punters ahead of Tuesday’s tussle.

Over 3.5 goals at 5/4 (2.25) for a 1pt stake with bet365
