Both Bayernn Munich and AC Milan suffered disappointing results when they opened their respective campaigns in the International Champions Cup.
Die Roten looked superior to Arsenal in their first match, but conceded in injury time to draw 1-1 before losing on penalties.
New-look Milan, meanwhile, appeared to have some way to go to compete with the continent's best teams as they were comfortably outplayed by Borussia Dortmund losing 3-1.
The Bundesliga champions are understandably the favourites and there is little to make us think that they will be unable to show their superiority against a Rossoneri side who have made a raft of exciting signings but remains very much in transition.
Milan, who were not able to count on the likes of Andre Silva, Leonardo Bonucci and Lucas Biglia at that point, began poorly against Dortmund and were wasteful with the chances they eventually managed to create, and they will need to be considerably better against Bayern.
Given the strong way Ancelotti's men started against Arsenal, coupled with Milan's poor start against Dortmund which saw them 2-0 down inside 20 minutes, backing the Bavarians to make a positive opening to the game once more appeals.
Bayern are offered at just 4/11 (1.36) to score the first goal which is possibly too short for our purposes, yet the price of 20/21 (1.95) for the Bundesliga champions to win the first half should appeal.
The German giants are clear favourites for this game and finding any real value in backing them is tough, yet to get them at practically even money to win the open 45 minutes looks like a great bet in a difficult market.
Also worthy of consideration is backing them to be winning at half time and full time at 13/10 (2.30) , although it is worth bearing in mind that coaches often switch things up in the second half with numerous changes in pre-season friendlies.
